What: 401Gives is Rhode Island's biggest day of giving. Last year, over 19,000 donors raised $4.9 million for 644 local nonprofit organizations.

When: The giving portal opens at 6am on March 31 and ends at 6pm on April 1.

Who: Everyone! 401Gives is the organization's largest fundraising event, bringing in more participants than any other effort. With donations starting at just $5, this event is truly accessible to everyone.

Your gift helps create performances that move audiences, bring communities together, and offer the kind of shared experience we all crave. Donate early to qualify the Providence Singers for random drawings:

March 31, 8 AM - Eligible for $500 drawing if we have at least 5 donors

March 31, 9 AM - Eligible for $625 drawing if we have at least 5 donors

March 31, 10 AM - Eligible for $1,000 drawing if we have at least 10 donors

March 31, 11 AM - Eligible for $800 drawing if we have at least 8 donors

March 31, 3 PM - Eligible for $1,000 drawing if we have at least 10 donors

Get matching donations from 401Gives sponsors by timing your donation. Here's the schedule:

March 31, 6 AM - Starting at 6 AM, the first $20K will be matched by Papitto Opportunity Connection. Maximum match per donor, per nonprofit is $500. This one goes fast, so have your donation form filled out and ready to submit at 6!

March 31, 12 PM - Starting at noon, the first $25K will be matched by RI Energy Foundation. Maximum match per donor, per nonprofit is $500.

April 1, 4:01 PM - Donations of any size (as small as $5) will be matched with $25, up to a total of $30K. Limited to one $25 match per donor.

April 1, 5:00 PM - Starting at 5 PM, the last $2,000 of donations will be match with $10 per donation. Limited to one $10 match per donor.

How to spread the word

The easiest way is to go to the Providence Singers giving portal and share the page to your Facebook and X accounts. Click on the icons to the left of the Providence Singers logo, add a few words to the post. If you don't know what to say, start with the "Why" question above. Adapt it to your voice or use as is.

Share our social media posts. Click on the icons at the bottom of this page to go to our Facebook, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn pages. You'll find several posts from which to choose.
