Serving as Board member of the Providence Singers is a personal commitment, for which the organization is very grateful. Board members are expected to give of their time, talents and treasure to advance the mission of the Singers.

Time

• Regular attendance at Board Meetings, consistent with by-laws.

• Active participation in two committees of the Singers Board. 

• Attendance at Singers concerts and fundraising events.

• Attendance at Annual Meeting.

 

Talents

• Commitment to helping the Singers fulfill its mission by identifying the specific skills and gifts which you bring to the Board and consciously contributing them to the work of the organization. 

• Serving as an active ambassador for the Singers, inviting personal and professional colleagues to Singers concerts and other events. 

• Identifying community resources and connecting them to the Singers. 

• Bringing a spirit of constructive engagement and mutual respect to the governance of the organization. 

 

Treasure

• Regular participation in the Singers annual giving programs at a level consistent with your most significant annual charitable contributions. 

• Purchase of at least two seasons tickets to the Singers’ performances.

• Assistance with fundraising by the identification and cultivation of prospective individual and corporate donors.
