VMA Arts and Cultural Center is one block north of the Providence Place Mall, and one block west of the Rhode Island State Capitol.
From the South
Take I-95 North to Exit 23 (State Offices).
Bear right on the exit ramp and proceed straight through the traffic light at the end of the ramp.
At the next traffic light – Smith Street (Route 44) – turn right.
Go past the Capitol and take the first left onto Francis Street.
VMA is adjacent to the Renaissance Hotel one block south of Smith Street.
From the North
Take I-95 South to Exit 22c. This puts you directly on Promenade Street.
Follow Promenade Street until the Providence Place Mall parking garage is directly in front of you.
The cross street is Park Street. Turn left onto Park, go one block past the first light.
VMA will be on your right.
Parking:
VMA Arts and Cultural Center has plenty of free or low-cost parking. For evening events, state parking lots across from the Capitol are usually open free of charge. Other state lots are available north of Smith Street on Park Street. Parking is available on Smith, Park, Francis and Gaspee Streets, and the Providence Place Mall parking garage, one block south, is inexpensive for a three-hour stay.
