Haydn and Mozart | March 1, 2014
Two works from the Classical masters, accompanied by organ and chamber orchestra: Franz Joseph Haydn’s Missa in Angustiis — ‘The Nelson Mass’ of 1798 — and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Vesperae Solennes de Confessore of 1780.
All American | April 26-27, 2014
Music from the American experience: The colonial era composer William Billings, 20th-century masters Aaron Copland and Samuel Barber, and a generous helping of composers working today. That includes the world première of Bears, a work by Elena Ruehr commissioned by the Providence Singers from its Wachner Fund for New Music.
