The Britten Legacy  |  November 9-10, 2013
The Singers will present a sampling Benjamin Britten’s choral music for the 20th-century master’s centennial year, including Hymn to St. Cecilia and the cantata Rejoice in the Lamb. The program includes selections from Britten’s predecessors Charles Villiers Stanford, Edward Elgar, and Gerald Raphael Finzi.

Haydn and Mozart  |  March 1, 2014
Two works from the Classical masters, accompanied by organ and chamber orchestra: Franz Joseph Haydn’s Missa in Angustiis — ‘The Nelson Mass’ of 1798 — and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Vesperae Solennes de Confessore of 1780.

Music from the American experience: The colonial era composer William Billings, 20th-century masters Aaron Copland and Samuel Barber, and a generous helping of composers working today. That includes the world première of Bears, a work by Elena Ruehr commissioned by the Providence Singers from its Wachner Fund for New Music.
