PROVIDENCE, R.I. — On Saturday May 19, 2018, Providence Singers will present “A Night at the Opera,” a choral performance of opera’s best-loved classics, in the Providence Biltmore Hotel Grand Ballroom. Featuring selections from La Boehme, Carmen, La Traviata, Aida, and many other favorites, this fundraising concert supports choral performance and education programs for the Singers’ 2018-19 season. (Works to be performed)

“We are so proud to present opera’s most loved arias and choruses, performed in signature Providence Singers style,” said Christine Noel, Artistic Director of the Providence Singers, who will conduct the performance. “This event is not only an opportunity to hear wonderful music in the intimate setting of the Providence Biltmore Ballroom, but also meet other opera fans in our Rhode Island community.”

The Providence Biltmore Hotel, 11 Dorrance Street in Providence, has parking in the rear garage. Valet parking is also available. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the performance begins at 7:30. General admission is $50, which includes a post-concert party. Patron tickets at $100 also include a pre-concert reception with the Singers, soloists, and conductor. The evening will offer a silent auction, featuring items of opera-audience interest including premium seating for the Metropolitan Opera in New York City, subscriptions to the Rhode Island Philharmonic, and other theater and event tickets.

To purchase tickets, visit the Singers website or call the Singers office at 401-751-5700.

Providence Singers thanks its event sponsors: Rhode Island Children’s Chorus; Howland, Evangelista, Kohlenberg Burnett LLP; and Parsons Capital Management.
